A$AP Rocky’s single “Better Things” takes aim at Rita Ora with lyrics that are vulgar and sexist. But Ora is not going to just sit back and take it — she’s letting the world know how she really feels.

During a recent interview with Hot 97 Radio Station Ora said, “I’m not looking at it like ‘you’re upsetting me’ because I don’t actually give a sh*t.”
But just because Rocky’s (whose real name is Rakim Mayers) words aren’t harming her personally doesn’t mean they are right and Ora wants to make an example out of the rapper.
“I care about my business more than anything, so I actually don’t care,” she confessed. “But I don’t want people to think it’s OK to speak about women like that. That’s it. I don’t care what you say about me. I don’t give a flying f***. I’m very happy with what I do, and I’m proud of who I am, and what I represent.”

The lyrics that have caused so much controversy read, “I swear that bitch Rita Ora got a big mouth / Next time I see her might curse the bitch out.”
“Kicked the bitch out once cause she bitched out / Spit my kids out, j***ed up all in her mouth and made the bitch bounce.”

According to the Daily Mail even the rapper admitted later that his lyrics were “tasteless.”
We applaud Ora for speaking out about this because it’s highlighting a much bigger issue, the sexism that still exists in society. And men should not feel that they can make crass remarks without repercussions.
