Kathie Lee Gifford shared a touching and insightful tribute to her dear and recently departed husband, Frank Gifford, upon her return to the table at the Today Show on Monday.
The cohost of the fourth hour of the morning show opened up about her husband, sharing with the public a side of him they might not know.

She began talking about his well-known accomplishments, which everyone knew and revered him for, like being an eight-time pro bowler, comeback player of the year, etc. But it was what she shared about his life growing up that brought tears, I can only imagine, to everyone’s eyes. She showed incredible strength and resilience to be able to speak so calmly and eloquently about him and their faith as a couple and family.
She said, “He would want you to know that he died in complete peace.”

She thanked everyone for their heartfelt expressions of support, saying, “I want to thank everyone for your love and your texts and your tweets, and just… the outpouring has been extraordinary.”
And she very poignantly pointed out, “It’s a heck of a way to find out how loved you are.”
It is good to see her back in the stool next to Hoda, and we hope she and her family continue to heal and find strength in their faith.
