Cara Delevingne left fashion for Hollywood and she’s not looking back — ever. Her reason why will shock you.
In an interview with London-based newspaper The Times, Delevingne exposed the harsh sexual harassment she faced in the fashion industry and vowed never to work in its confines again.
“I am not doing fashion work any more, after having, like, psoriasis and all that stuff,” she said. “Modelling just made me feel a bit hollow after a while. It didn’t make me grow at all as a human being. And I kind of forgot how young I was… I felt so old.”
The supermodel-turned-actress said she was talked into sexually suggestive poses as a young teen because she felt she couldn’t say no and continue to work.
“I am a bit of a feminist and it makes me feel sick,” she said. “It’s horrible and it’s disgusting. [We’re talking about] young girls. You start when you are really young and you do, you get subjected to… not great stuff.”
The stress, coupled with her demanding schedule, led to various health woes, including psoriasis. “People would put on gloves and not want to touch me because they thought it was, like, leprosy or something,” she admitted. “It is a mental thing as well because if you hate yourself and your body and the way you look, it just gets worse and worse.”

But the fame she earned on the catwalk did give her some power and now she uses it to her advantage — and for the advantage of others, too.
“I am very good at standing up for myself now, and for other people. If there is injustice I will flip out. If someone is crossing a line, they will know about it and so will everyone else.”
These days, Delevingne is focusing on her burgeoning acting career instead, starting with her new movie Paper Towns. She is currently filming Suicide Squad with Jared Leto.
