Teen Mom star Maci Bookout has over 2 million followers on Instagram, but if the reaction to her latest post is anything to go by, then those numbers will be dropping in the near future.

The reality TV star came under fire recently for her using her social media accounts as a promotional plug — fellow Teen Mom stars Catelynn Lowell, Tyler Baltierra and Jenelle Evans have been doing the same — but it seems that her fans have now had enough.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Bookout posted a picture of herself holding a lip gloss, which she captioned, “My new obsession@86Lips in Twinkle. Do you like it?! #86Lips#sp #glossy.”

Whether this was a promotional post, or she was just sharing her favorite lippy with her fans, is not 100 percent clear, but fans clearly think it’s the former and have slammed Bookout for her excessive promotional posts. In fact, there are many who have declared they are now unfollowing her because of them.
Comments on the picture include, “Unfortunately unfollowing all of you cuz all you do is advertise now,” “Unfollowing@macideshanebookout,” “Advertisement after advertisement. Unfollowing,” and “All the shameless plugs are getting old.”

Bookout’s posts have struck a nerve with some fans, but there are also fans defending her decision to advertise. One comment reads, “Grow up! You’d be doing the,same thing as,these girls [sic] are. Please un follow [sic] them so they especially @macideshanebookout doesn’t have to read your mean hateful comments!”
