Even while Josh Duggar is buried under a new scandal, he can’t escape the last one.

There’s more news about the molestation scandal that rocked the Duggar family earlier this year. But this time, the update is unexpected and a little bizarre.
Amy Duggar, the more liberal cousin of the famous family that starred in the TLC reality series 19 Kids and Counting, is speaking out about the molestation that Josh admitted to committing as a teen, but only to say she wasn’t one of the victims.
“I didn’t know about it,” Amy told People magazine. “It took me by surprise.”
She added, “I was not part of it at all. I wasn’t anywhere near any of that. I knew that he did go away for a little bit, but I didn’t know why. Honestly, I don’t even think about it. I think we’re all past it.”

As far as the famous family is concerned, they certainly are past it. Though Josh admitted to molesting a number of underage girls, several of his sisters among them, the family has insisted throughout the scandal that everyone healed, forgave each other and moved on.
“Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret,” Josh said in a statement after the reports of the abuse became public. “I hurt others, including my family and close friends. I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation. We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling.”
Of course, Josh now has his hands full with his latest scandal: reports that he maintained profiles on the cheating website Ashley Madison while being married and his subsequent admission to being addicted to pornography, a big no-no in the strictly religious Duggar family.
