The Abby Lee Dance Company is used to drama, but this was just plain scary.
On Tuesday, the Dance Moms studio narrowly avoided a full-out invasion by police when several suspicious packages were intercepted by the post office. The packages were bound for the dance company famed for its reality TV show.
According to authorities, the Allegheny County bomb squad diffused the situation using water cannons to dismantle the packages. In total, there were five packages that were addressed to a young member of the cast.

Postal workers became leery of the packages and alerted postal inspector Tammy Mayle to their suspicions. Mayle told WTAE in Pittsburgh, “They contained items that were inappropriate for minors — harassing, stalking items.”
According to investigators, the items retrieved included a blanket with an image of Elvis Presley on it, a blanket with a tribal pattern on it, a coffee machine, a scrapbook and several letters.
The target of the packages was a minor named JoJo Siwa, who appears on the show Dance Moms. The man who sent the packages is said to be a California resident, and his motives are not being reported at this time.
