With Damon and Elena on pause while she’s pulling a Sleeping Beauty, it seemed The Vampire Diaries was paving the way for Caroline and Stefan’s romance to take center stage in Season 7.
But Paul Wesley just revealed to TV Line that’s not necessarily the case.

Things between these two potential lovebirds is going to be anything but easy, especially with Wesley’s character “lip-locking with more than one woman,” according to the actor.
Say what?
Of course, I’m still holding on tight to my Klaroline love, but I’ve sort of — at least, for now — accepted that it’s not going to happen. But I still believe that Caroline deserves a good guy. If Klaus can’t be that guy because he’s busy starring in The Originals, then Stefan is a more than suitable alternative.

But apparently the show still thinks these two need more romantic tension before they actually commit. Though Wesley didn’t go into details about just how many ladies he’ll be making out with and what the circumstances will be, we can all assume that it won’t be lip-locking because he meets someone he wants to be really good friends with.
Candice Accola also just revealed she’s pregnant with her first child. And while we couldn’t be happier for the actress, we also have to think that her news will affect her character’s journey on the show. Since vampires can’t get pregnant, there’s no word yet on how the show plans to handle Accola’s coming baby bump.
She told TV Line in a different interview that “Caroline’s not always in every episode anyway, so that helps a little bit, but Caroline has, so far, been a really big part of the season. Every single season, we think we know the way it’s going to go, but it always changes by the end. It could really go anywhere.”

Luckily, she has the full support of the show’s producers, “Julie [Plec] and Caroline [Dries] are the best people to ask about [whether or not her pregnancy will be written into the show.] To be honest, I’m along for the ride just like the viewers are.”
