In an interview with People magazine, Amy said, “I gave her the biggest hug ever when I first saw her.” And when the two embraced before the ceremony, “that’s when I got the most emotional. I can’t imagine what she’s been through. I would be a disaster.”
You can even see a photo of the cousins’ loving embrace over on People‘s website.
Anna attended the ceremony alone since her husband Josh Duggar checked into a rehab facility last month following news that he had been having multiple affairs and was addicted to pornography.
“She was beautiful,” Amy said of Anna. “She said she’s very happy for me.”

And a hug wasn’t the only gift Anna received from Amy.
Anna’s daughter, Mackynzie, served as one of Amy’s bell-ringing flower girls, and Amy had a special card waiting for Anna on her chair when she arrived for the ceremony. She also gave one to Michelle Duggar, Josh’s mother.
“I gave Aunt Michelle a gift certificate to her favorite restaurant so that she and Uncle Jim Bob can have a really sweet date night,” Amy explained. “And I felt like Anna needed to be pampered so I got her a mani-pedi certificate to a nail salon. I feel like she needs that.”

Amy continued, “They’ve been through so much and it means the world to me that they want to come to my wedding even though their whole world is turned upside down right now.”
And though her more conservative Duggar relatives did attend the wedding ceremony, Amy reveals they, “left probably right when the music started” since the party went “from classy to trashy real quick.”
Sounds like the perfect wedding to us!
