According to a new report by TMZ, the former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was in a desperate state recently as she tried to purchase Xanax from a Los Angeles, California, smoke shop.
Richards was reportedly spotted several times at a smoke shop in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles in search of the prescription pills. But people in the shop told the gossip site that the shop’s employees repeatedly turned her away because they do not sell Xanax.
But it appears Richards was unwilling to believe them because she kept coming back and insisted that a family member claimed she could purchase the drug there. She was reportedly turned away on three separate occasions, and according to a witness, on one occasion she visited another smoke shop, too.

So, what is the reason why Richards needs Xanax?
According to TMZ, she claimed she needed it for a foot injury, which is strange because Xanax is not used for pain, but rather to treat anxiety.
The news of Richards searching for prescription pills comes just days after she took to Twitter to inform fans that she was doing well and thank them for their continued support. No word yet on why she may have been searching for anxiety medication.
