Former Bachelor in Paradise star Ashley Salter might not have been given the rose she was looking for on the show, but she’s getting the last laugh with a very well-timed joke.
Salter stunned fans with a lightning-fast engagement announcement just months after she appeared on the show.
The quirky 25-year-old just reunited with her college sweetheart back in June, but that didn’t stop him from popping the question on a stunning rooftop. She posted a photo announcing her new relationship status with the caption, “My one and only love.”

Her new fiancé, Austin Brannen, popped the question and the couple captured the moments in some pretty beautiful photos. Brannen, the acting VP of the real estate firm NAI Brannen Goddard, gave the reality TV star a dozen roses, which, of course, led to the most appropriate and timely rose joke of all time.
She posted a photo of the bouquet, saying, “12 is better than 1 #roses.”
Burn.
