Is Demi Lovato bisexual? Maybe she is or maybe she isn’t, but it sure sounds like she isn’t afraid to do the footwork to find out.
Lovato recently stopped by the British comedy talk show Alan Carr: Chatty Man and brilliantly dodged some questions from the host about her sexuality. Though she never answered any of Carr’s inquiries directly, she definitely teased the audience with the possibility that she has experimented with women in the past.
When Carr asked Lovato if her hit song, “Cool for the Summer,” is about having sexual relations with a female, she answered, “I’m not confirming and I’m definitely not denying. All of my songs are based off personal experiences. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with experimentation at all.”

The audience went wild and Carr quickly deadpanned, “The trouble is, I experimented once and it stuck,” to which Lovato quickly quipped, “I didn’t say it didn’t stick, either.”
Lovato also made it clear that she thinks bisexuality should be acceptable for both males and females. “I don’t think there’s anything wrong if a very popular male artist in one of his songs came out and said, ‘I’m experimenting…’ if a guy sang this song and was straight, it would be such an uproar,” said Lovato. “The thing is, there’s a confidence to a man that would say, ‘I’ve experimented with a man,’ and not care. I actually find that more attractive than somebody saying, ‘No, no, no, that’s so wrong.'”
Confidence and acceptance of oneself seems to be Lovato’s life motto right now. Her new album is titled Confident, after all.
“Learn to lurrrrrvveee yerrrrr currrrrvveees. I actually used to hate them… But then a special someone helped me learn how to love them… And he sure loves them…. #squats #COOLFORTHESUMMER,” she captioned a recent photo of herself on Instagram.

The “he,” of course, who Lovato referred to in the caption of the pic is her longtime love, Wilmer Valderrama, who she also credits for helping her stay strong and sober since her stint in rehab back in 2011.
