One person to remind us of this was Danny Dyer — his show, EastEnders, did an entire week live to celebrate its 30-year anniversary earlier this year.
“I know what it’s like — it’s tough! You’ve got to remember that we did a week… so one night is f*** all, really. But I’m rooting for them,” Dyer said during an interview with OK! magazine.

Dyer, who plays landlord Mick Carter on EastEnders, went on to say he “can’t wait to tune into the live episode” but he was right when he said that it’s tough. In fact because of EastEnder‘s live performances we know just how many things can go wrong.
We all remember when Jo Joyner — who stars as Tanya Branning on EastEnders — made a mistake by referring to actor Adam Woodyatt by his real name instead of his character’s name, Ian Beale.

And we can think of so many things that could go wrong this time: for starters Jason Grimshaw, played by Ryan Thomas, could totally go off script and Callum Logan, played by Sean Ward, may forget his lines. Or perhaps their revenge scene will be spoilt by an accidental blunder, a punch that connects a little too hard or maybe one of these men will even trip up.
Then again, the surprise that a live show brings makes it all the more entertaining and fans are really excited about the hour-long live episode, which will air on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 7:30 p.m. on ITV.

Coronation Street producer Stuart Blackburn has ensured viewers that the live episode is going to be filled with drama.
“At the heart of all this is going to be the Platts and their ongoing feud between the good guys — and whoever thought David Platt would be one of the good guys? — and Callum,” Blackburn told the Radio Times.
“It’s going to be full of shocks and twists and really will make everything that has come before look like a prologue.”
