Leah Messer was not happy to end her second marriage — especially from rehab — but her attitude about it is refreshingly healthy.
In an exclusive preview of this week’s episode of Teen Mom 2 obtained by Us Weekly, Messer calls her mother to discuss how her divorce was finalized while she was still in the facility — and what she said is very self-aware.

“I had court. I had to go, like, talk on the phone,” Leah said. “But our divorce is final. With Jeremy and I, just like, something just didn’t feel right. And I stayed because I didn’t want the embarrassment of another divorce. But you know what, I’m letting it go.
“I’m really getting a lot figured out here,” Leah explained. “I’m learning so many coping skills. I’m actually glad I did this. Maybe the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.”
As we reported, Messer’s divorce was actually finalized in June, which is when the episode was taped.
“Leah participated on the phone from rehab,” a source told In Touch Weekly. “They had an uncontested divorce. The terms, including a custody arrangement for Adalynn, were agreed upon prior to the hearing. It was all over in about 15 minutes.”
The new episode of Teen Mom 2 airs Thursday, Sept. 17, at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.
