Angelina Jolie may have had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed to cut down her cancer risk, but that doesn’t mean she’s done having children. It’s being reported that Jolie and husband Brad Pitt are expanding their family by adding another child to the mix — a Syrian orphan — which will make them parents to seven.
The notoriously private couple has yet to confirm anything, but there are numerous reports claiming that Jolie and Pitt have just finalized plans to adopt a Syrian orphan. Jolie and Pitt have never definitively said that their family is complete — and Jolie has been deeply affected by the civil war in Syria — so it isn’t too shocking that the couple may be adopting again. But, at the same time: OMG, they may be adopting again.

Jolie and Pitt are the kind of couple that won’t confirm anything until they’re actually seen with a new child, but there’s already a fair amount of information out there regarding their supposed adoption. Here’s everything we know so far.
1. Pitt had to stop Jolie at one
Never one to do things halfheartedly, apparently Jolie, who’s a special envoy of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, wanted to adopt three Syrian brothers who were orphaned after their father was taken away by soldiers and their mother was killed in a bombing. Pitt, however, is said to have put his foot down at one on the grounds that bringing another child into the family will change the dynamics quite a bit for their six kids — three would simply be too much. Jolie also reportedly didn’t put up a fight after her husband stopped her at one. “She knew it just wouldn’t work,” a source said.

2. They would like it to be really soon
A source told the Express that the couple is looking to go through with the adoption soon. Ideally, they would have everything in order by the “end of summer 2015,” which technically is Sept. 22. “This is something that has become very close to their hearts,” a friend said. “They would like to accomplish it, if possible, before the end of summer because, even though they are both busy, their [schedules] are relatively light for most of 2015.”
3. Buuuuut… it probably won’t happen for a few months
Although sources claim that Pitt and Jolie are ready to take their children from six to seven, apparently the process for adopting a child from Syria is borderline impossible. An insider told InTouch, “It has been a very long process to adopt the Syrian orphan. The red tape has been almost impossible at times. It could take at least another four to five months before the child is brought to the United States.”

4. Details about the child are scant
In fact, there are practically no details at all. Apparently, out of the three brothers Jolie took to, only one could speak English — the middle child — and not very much at that. The eldest brother was reportedly incredibly quiet, but “never left Angie’s side during the visit.” Heartbreaking.
5. Jolie reportedly doesn’t feel “complete”
If the gossip is to be believed, Jolie, who turned 40 this summer, is feeling good about things, thanks to her health (Jolie had both her ovaries removed, as well as a double mastectomy). Still, though, she reportedly feels like there’s someone missing in her family. An insider said, “Angelina’s feeling good about turning 40 in June with a clean bill of health, but what will make her happiness complete is seeing a new little face at the dinner table.”
How can anyone argue with that?
