Avril Lavigne is still struggling with her health, but she’s a fighter, as she took to Instagram on Tuesday to update fans about her battle with Lyme disease.

The singer posted a picture of herself sitting on a doctor’s room chair — with some of the most awesome flip-flops we’ve ever seen — which she captioned, “this journey continues ….. Just reach up, don’t give up until you’ve touch [sic] the sky ….. We were all meant to fly ….#DrOfficePhotoShoot @Hurley@amusesociety.”
Lavigne has been vocal about her health struggles, and by bravely sharing her journey, she has created awareness for Lyme disease — and her fans are showing her their full support.

Unfortunately, her illness is not the only thing Lavigne has had to deal with lately, because she and her husband of two years, Chad Kroeger, recently announced they were splitting up. But despite the hard times in her life, Lavigne still managed a smile for the camera.
