Rosie O’Donnell’s estranged wife’s latest actions are the most shocking thing yet to happen in the bitter divorce saga between her and O’Donnell.
According to Radar Online, Michelle Rounds, O’Donnell’s estranged wife, was rushed to the hospital for allegedly trying to take her own life.
A source told the tabloid site that Rounds checked into a hotel in Nanuet, New York, early Tuesday morning and that she was alone. Her daughter, Dakota, 2, whom Rounds won in an ugly custody fight with O’Donnell, was apparently not with her.

Later that day, an unidentified source was concerned about Rounds and contacted police. It is unclear why she became concerned for her, but the Clarkstown Police Department immediately responded to the call and according to a second source, officers were forced to break down Rounds’ hotel door.
While her medical status is currently unknown, she is said to be still under doctors’ care at Nyack Hospital, where she was taken by the authorities.

“She had apparently taken some pills and drank wine. It looked to be a suicide attempt,” the source claims. “Michelle was very depressed lately over the divorce and custody battle with Rosie. In fact, in the past few days, [she] and Rosie spoke and they had a bitter argument.”
This “cry for help,” as the insider puts it, comes just two weeks after rumors began circulating that O’Donnell has not only moved on but possibly may even be living with a new girlfriend.
It was widely reported that Tatum O’Neal and O’Donnell might be a new hot item. Could the stress of O’Donnell moving on so soon and allegedly moving so fast have pushed Rounds to take drastic measures? We hope that if this was, in fact, a cry for help, she gets the aid she clearly needs. Regardless of the reasoning or what happened, we hope that Rounds makes a fast and full recovery.
