Who doesn’t want to check out a new Ruby Rose photo shoot?

But hold up. Before you check out the super-hot Orange Is the New Black star’s most recent shoot in The Untitled Magazine‘s latest issue, maybe you should see what Rose has to say about it. Because it turns out she doesn’t want anyone to see that particular spread — she claims the mag used it without her permission!
“I am pro ‘free the nipple’ so when I was tagged in this photo by fans I wasn’t sure where it came from but I assumed a BTS from a friends shoot or one where we had approved slightly transparency in an image (sic),” she captioned an Instagram shot of the magazine’s cover (with her nipples covered, as per Instagram’s nudity policy, of course). “Imagine my shock to find that @theuntitledmagazine decided to publish images of me after we explained we wouldn’t be doing the shoot if I wasn’t appropriately covered.”

She added, “The difference with working with a friend and or choosing to use nudity for art / and someone taking the piss and exploiting you is two different things.”

People who have watched OITNB‘s latest season know Rose isn’t shy about her body. And some of those people may be wondering what the big deal is about this shoot, since the actress has gone topless in the media many times before.
The difference here is that if it’s true that Rose didn’t approve publication of the nude pics, this really is exploiting her. The magazine addressed that claim in a tweet to Rose.
“@RubyRose One of the most important issues today is #equality,” they wrote. “We would never publish unapproved photos. We do not believe in exploitation!”
Still, Rose says the photos are nearly a year old and has asked her fans not to buy the issue.
“Please if you are a fan of mine boycott this issue. Or you are buying into greedy, exploitative propaganda,” she wrote on Instagram. “I have plenty of other shoots I’m proud of with professionals coming up its not needed in your collection (sic).”
