Kelly Clarkson raised fans’ concerns when she was forced to cancel the final leg of her United States tour this year, and now her latest announcement is leaving some wondering if the vocal powerhouse will ever be able to tour again.
Clarkson announced via her website that she is canceling her entire Canadian tour, as well as all of her dates in the United Kingdom, under strict doctor’s orders to remain on vocal rest for the remainder of year, and that all concert tickets will be refunded at their original points of purchase.
“I am truly sorry that I have to cancel the remainder of my tour dates,” Clarkson wrote to her fans. “I was so looking forward to sharing this tour with all my amazing fans in Canada and the UK. Unfortunately my doctor is telling me I have to stay on vocal rest, but I am working hard to get better as fast as possible.”

The announcement came as a shock to many fans who purchased tickets to see their idol, especially since Clarkson posted a photo-plugging her new song with the 2014 TheX Factor winner, Ben Haenow, just two days ago that got fans pumped up for her shows.

Clarkson, who is pregnant with her second child, previously lost her voice right after she gave birth to her daughter, River Rose, in June 2014, and she even half-joked at the time that she was afraid her career might be finished.
“I literally had a moment where I cried and drank wine all day,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I was like, ‘Oh, God, I’m not going to be a singer anymore!’ I was bawling to my husband and, like, completely hammered, just going, ‘Oh my God, it’s over, I don’t know what I’m going to do. I guess I could do more charity work.’ Like, I didn’t know what I was going to do.”
