Kim Zolciak was eliminated from Monday’s episode of Dancing with the Stars after a serious health scare kept her from competing.
Zolciak suffered a series of ministrokes that landed her in the hospital last week. Since then, she has reached out to fans to petition alongside her to get the dancing show to reverse her and her pro, Tony Dovolani’s, elimination.
Dovolani said, “I think the producers were fighting until the last minute to keep us in the competition.” He even added, “The producers want us back, I want to be back, Kim wants to be back — so the people they need to convince was [sic] the lawyers.”
Well, it looks like they might need to convince a few other people as well.

Judges are now sounding off on the elimination and the problems they have with the pair’s petition to get back on the show. DWTS judge Carrie Ann Inaba said she commends Zolciak’s tenacity and never-give-up attitude, but ultimately thinks it would be unfair for her to join back in the competition.
“Well, I’ve always loved somebody who doesn’t give up, OK? I think that that’s a wonderful spirit to have. You should never give up. However, I also like rules, and our rules say that she has to be out. I think that it would be unfair for the other competitors if she came back because she did not compete, and it’s like she got a week to rest,” she told Us Weekly.

It’s not just the judges who think it’s a hard but correct call to eliminate Zolciak. Former dance pro Kym Johnson said, “It’s unfortunate what happened with Kim. That’s never happened before! It was quite surprising. But you know, [those are] the rules and unfortunately for Tony, he’s also out. But her health comes first and I guess she’s got to take care of that.”
Zolciak professed her ability to practice and even perform via satellite, due to her inability to fly, in her plea with fans on Instagram, but it looks like the elimination will stand as of right now. Zolciak did promise that fans would see her shake it at least one more time, saying, “Regardless I’ll be dancing my ass off at the finale!”
