Chasing Life fans are heartbroken over its cancellation

Well, if you’re a fan of Chasing Life, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it is no more. On Friday, ABC Family canceled the series starring Italia Ricci after two seasons. Fans knew April Carver’s life was literally in the hands of the network, and it decided to pull the plug, unfortunately.

This really is a bummer, especially since the show shined such a positive and eye-opening light on cancer, all while providing hope and inspiration for others who are dealing with the illness or have battled it in the past. There’s no doubt the show will be missed. Not to mention, Ricci is one talent who deserved more time on-screen and to bring even more life to April Carver. She is a force in the entertainment world, so I have faith she’ll soon land another fabulous project, but until then I’m going to mourn this cancellation.

You know who else is upset about Chasing Life getting axed? Ricci’s fiancé, Robbie Amell (The Flash) is heartbroken. Check it out:

Chasing Life fans are feeling exactly like Amell and expressing their heartbreak about the news, too.

As sad as this is, at least the special moments will forever be embedded in fans’ hearts. As Ricci shared on Facebook, “I don’t like this one bit. Thank you to everyone who helped us tell this beautiful story. Keep fighting and never lose hope.”
