The latest? Bella Hadid, who debuted a nipple piercing in a dress with a completely sheer top at the Vogue Paris Fashion Week party on Saturday.

The 18-year-old model is following in the footsteps of Kendall Jenner, whose thin white gown at the Harper’s Bazaar Icons party last month left little to the imagination when it came to the outline of her own nipple ring. But Hadid has taken this new trend a step further with the sheer panels in her dress, which hide absolutely nothing. The gown also features a sheer panel that reveals Hadid’s shapely backside — it almost seems like a statement that the dress covers her midsection, but leaves the parts that are generally expected to be covered out in the open.

Social media reactions to the dress were, not surprisingly, mixed.

While a predictable handful of haters slut-shamed the young model and asked her to cover up, many more fans came to her defense, tweeting about how much they loved the model and the look.

“Bella, you don’t have to show your body in this manner. You make the clothes. The lack of clothes shouldn’t make you!” one person wrote on Twitter.

But the vast majority of tweets showed support for Hadid, saying things like, “Totally digging @bellahadid’s nipple ring…. @KylieJenner thanks for rubbing off on her,” and, “Bella Hadid has the face of an angel, wayyyyyy too dreamy.”

Ultimately, though, we have a feeling Hadid isn’t going to let the haters get her down on this one.
