We all know that Blake Shelton‘s Twitter account is a hotbed for hilarity as the country music star often likes to mix alcohol and social media. Something I can’t recommend to anyone but the most professional of people as it usually ends in nothing but regret and humiliation.
But his recent tweet-fest took aim at the rumors that he is dating fellow TheVoice judge Gwen Stefani and responded to some rather hilarious tweets at him.
It seems the only thing actually linking the two musicians is that they both got divorced this summer and are now working together… so of course the Internet is going to think they are (or should) get together!
Not only does Shelton flat-out deny these claims, but there are also inside sources to back him up, too. A source told People, “It’s totally bulls***. There’s nothing there. They’re nothing more than friends.”
And now Shelton is taking over Twitter to defend his honor [read: sarcasm].
He kicked off his rant with, “The stuff I read about myself blows my mind. Shouldn’t I get to do all these things since I’m already accused of them?”

He quipped that he is not a celebrity, so he shouldn’t have to put up with all this malarky and even toyed with the idea of being accused of dating all the male celebrities in Hollywood, calling that a “new frontier.”
He fielded a marriage proposal and even joked he might be down for a shotgun wedding in Vegas.

Of course, he knows that people will be trying to read between the lines of every one of his 140 characters, so he follows it all up by saying, “Just watch and see how these tweets I just sent get spun… Son of a bitch!!! This calls for a drink.”
Meanwhile, this is us watching him feverishly and hilariously tweet about all these rumors:
