Sister Wives‘ Maddie Brown is reportedly related to her fiancé

More non-traditional marriage practices are taking place in the Sister Wives brood.

Details about the relationship of one member of the openly polygamist reality TV family is raising eyebrows.

Kody Brown and wife Janelle’s 19-year-old daughter, Maddie Rose, got engaged back in September, announcing her relationship change to the world via Twitter. But now we are learning that her fiancé, Caleb Brush, is allegedly a lot closer to the Brown family than we first thought.

According to reports published by Radar Online, Brush is the brother of Maddie’s father’s sister-in-law. In other words, her aunt’s brother.

Brush is not blood related to the Browns, but marrying a relative, even if they are just married into your family, is still pretty uncommon and pretty shocking.

From all accounts, the entire family is on board with the young couple’s engagement. Kody’s sister-in-law, Erica Brush Brown — Caleb’s sister — gushed over their cute engagement photo after the announcement, saying, “I SO absolutely LOVE this picture of you two!!!”

And shortly after they announced they would be getting married, Brush clarified that he and his bride-to-be would not be living the same lifestyle as the Browns. “We support Maddie’s family with their choice of living plural marriage and they support us with our choice in just marrying each other.”

This is the second bombshell to be dropped about the reality TV family, after reports broke earlier that one of Kody’s wives, Meri, confessed to having an emotional affair with a person online who ended up being a catfish.
