Amanda Bynes makes a significant change to her life

A year after leaving fashion school under mysterious circumstances, Amanda Bynes is back and ready to hit the books.

Bynes has re-enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles, and according to her parents’ lawyer, she is “doing great.”

“We are all so proud of her, and can’t wait to see her amazing designs on the runway someday,” Tamar Arminak told People.

Rumors that Bynes was back in school started last week when a “secret” Twitter account many believe belongs to her dropped mentions of going back to class and touched on the rumors of why she left in the first place.

One of the classmates @PersianLa27 could be referring to is Lindsey White, who gabbed to People in 2014 that Bynes stopped going to school because she had an embarrassing skin condition.

“She had all plans to finish school, but she had a few procedures done and didn’t want to be in public at FIDM,” White said. “She hated going to school,” she said, adding that Bynes “wasn’t out of control and she never threw a fit.”

Bynes was rumored to be joining the cast of Dancing with the Stars this season, but that didn’t materialize — although that doesn’t mean we won’t see her on a future season.

“They think Amanda has a wonderful underdog story and DWTS is the perfect forum for her to prove she can entertain while being vulnerable [at] the same time,” a source told OK! Magazine in May of 2015.

“It’s perfect timing,” the source continued. “People think she’s still a mess, but that’s no longer the case. DWTS is the perfect opportunity for her to prove to her friends, family and fans that she’s back in control of her life.”
