Teresa Giudice reveals prison is actually just like OITNB (VIDEO)

Netflix was dead-on.

More:Joe Giudice blames Joe Gorga for Teresa’s prison sentence — yes, really

In an exclusive new interview with E! News, Joe Giudice revealed some of the things he’s learned from his wife about the realities of life behind bars. In this case, it turns out to be pretty close to what we’d imagined, at least based on our favorite binge-watching show.

One of the first things the Real Housewives of New Jersey hubby reveals is that Teresa Giudice has picked up on “jail talk.”

“She’s got a little group of friends there. They’re nice. Everybody’s nice,” he says. “They have all that talk in there, I don’t know what you wanna call it — jail talk? She learns certain words and I’m like, ‘Really Tre?'”

Joe can’t specifically remember any of his wife’s new vocab, but he continues on to explain the main way that real-life prison is exactly like Orange Is the New Black: “They trade what they get in the commissary. So, let’s say somebody does your hair, you give them a pretzel. I don’t know. Or nail polish remover, whatever you order from the commissary. But that’s how they do things in there. There’s no money exchange in there.”

Teresa is expected to wrap up her 15-month sentence early enough to be back with her family for Christmas. But her release is bittersweet as it’ll signal time for Joe to begin his own sentence — the two were convicted on three counts each for fraud and conspiracy.

“She keeps a positive attitude and that’s how you gotta be,” he says of what he’s learned to expect in prison. “New people coming in, people leaving, so you’re always meeting people. Just because they’re in there doesn’t mean they’re bad people.”
