Lamar Odom is reportedly leaving Las Vegas

There’s more good news for Lamar Odom.

People magazine reports that former NBA star Odom is being transferred from Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas to a hospital in Los Angeles, California.

According to the magazine, a source close to the star confirmed Monday that Odom was being transferred via medical helicopter and will continue his treatment and recover in Los Angeles, closer to family.

“Khloé and several nurses are with him. Lamar still can’t walk but has left the hospital in a bed,” the source reportedly said.

Odom has been showing improvement since he woke up Friday from a four-day coma. He was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel Oct. 13 following days of partying and a drug overdose. According to reports, he has been able to communicate and breathe on his own since he woke up.

Odom’s estranged wife, Khloé Kardashian, has been by his side in Las Vegas since she arrived there by private jet soon after news broke of his hospitalization. Other members of the Kardashian/Jenner clan have been visiting, along with members of Odom’s family and some of his close friends.

A source also told People magazine that while Odom’s condition was stable enough for the move, he has a long road ahead of him.

“He’s responsive, but there are so many things that could go wrong right now, and the doctors have still been guarded,” the insider reportedly said. “Khloé has been praying a lot, both to herself and out loud to Lamar. She wants him to know that she’s still on his side, and that everyone is praying for him.”
