After seeing her thighs and hips heavily retouched in a recent magazine photo spread for Modeliste Magazine, Zendaya took to her Instagram to set the record straight.

She explained in her caption, “Had a new shoot come out today and was shocked when I found my 19 year old hips and torso quite manipulated. These are things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have. Anyone who knows who I am knows I stand for honest and pure self love. So I took it upon myself to release the real pic (right side) and I love it.” [sic]

It looks like the magazine, luckily, made quick moves to fix the heavily retouched photos, because Zendaya later added, “Thank you @modelistemagazine for pulling down the images and fixing this retouch issue.”

Zendaya is far from the first celeb in recent years to call out magazines for using their photos as a platform to create unrealistic expectations for women.

Probably most notably, back in July, Khloé Kardashian shared an unretouched photo of herself from her Complex magazine shoot to shut down haters who said her bootylicious spread was photoshopped. Jessica Simpson, Holly Madison, Britney Spears and Bethenny Frankel are other notable names who have either opted out of photoshopping or called out magazines for too much tweaking in recent years.

But Zendaya might be the most influential celebrity to jump on this trend because she is still just a teenager. And her 13.8 million followers are probably mostly made up of other young girls who look to Zendaya as a role model, a title this Instagram post proves she’s living up to.

Do you think more celebrities should share unretouched photos?
