5 Reasons I wanted to be Kelly from Beverly Hills, 90210

You remember Beverly Hills, 90210, right? You have to always include the 90210! The Peach Pit, Dylan, Brandon Walsh. If that doesn’t refresh your memory, maybe the glorious name Kelly will? Kelly Taylor that is! I bet it all rings a bell now!

The American drama series aired from October 1990 to May 2000, and the environment in our home had to be just perfect for viewing when Beverly Hills, 90210 was on. My sissy and I chose characters we wanted to be from the show. Of course, I chose Kelly! Well, we fought over it for a few weeks, but I was not giving in. Let’s just say I did not have another character I wanted to be in a television series for quite some time.

Yes, years have gone by. I’m married and a mommy of three now, but here are five reasons why I wanted to be Kelly!

1. Her style

Simply glorious! It was just effortless and fun. From her trendy pieces to her unique looks, I would have enjoyed shopping in her closet. Baggy T-shirts, high-waisted jeans, vests, bright colors and the cutest patterns ever. Her style was definitely number one for me.

2. Her physique

Kelly was the reason I started incorporating more salads instead of mac ‘n’ cheese into my diet. Come on, we all wanted to look slim and trim in our teenage years. Her physique definitely contributed to the clothing looking amazing as well.

3. Her hair

She started off with the long, blond hair with bangs, and then there was the lovely short cut! Miss Taylor never had a bad hair day.

4. The classic red lip

She didn’t rock it in every episode; but when she did, it was out of this world! I adore the classic red lip to this very day!

5. Her personality

Even though she was seen as seductive at times, she was also very loving, caring and sensitive. She had her spoiled moments and got caught in some love triangles, but she truly emulated strength. She faced many personal challenges and still came out a winner!

So, there you have it. I bet this post will have you watching a couple re-runs of the show!
