Throughout the history of Supernatural, there’s been one prominent character featured that no matter the damage she experiences, she withstands it and stands by her men. Obviously, I’m talking about the Impala, aka Dean’s Baby.

Come this Wednesday’s episode, Baby is going to be honored in a very special way. The episode is titled “Baby” and as TVLine reports, it is an “Impala love letter.” How fitting — and I’m sure Dean would most definitely approve. While Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) go on the hunt for supernatural creatures, their trip is chronicled from the perspective of the Impala. As executive producer Jeremy Carver revealed at Comic-Con in July, “We are doing an entire episode in the Impala. It’s going to touch on, ‘What happens in the moment when they agree to take a case and normally you cut to whatever and they’re walking in? What if you stayed in the Impala for another five minutes? What do they talk about then?'”
TVLine also reports that the episode will feature “a surprise that should delight longtime fans.” Hmm… what could that be? The entertainment outlet also teased that the episode includes “several fantastic music cues, a rather poignant talk between the brothers in their beloved car and Baby’s first valet experience.”
I have a feeling Supernatural fans are going to enjoy this episode very much. Until then, let’s celebrate Baby and honor some of her best moments throughout the past 10 years.
1. When we learned her history
In the Season 5 finale, “Swan Song,” fans learned the history of the Impala and saw several special moments of Sam and Dean growing up alongside Baby. Actually, it’s those memories that helped Sam fight against Lucifer and throw him into the pit. This Impala scene is one of the most memorable and emotional moments throughout Supernatural history. If fans didn’t shed at least one tear watching Sam remember playing with Dean in the car as little kids and Dean watching Sam (and Lucifer) jump into the pit, then they clearly have no souls like Sam didn’t in Season 6.
2. Every time Sam and Dean sang
There’s no doubt Dean loves his classic rock music, which is a staple when driving around in Baby. What’s even better is when Sam and Dean sing along together, like that time they sang Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive.”
3. When we were introduced to Baby
Who will ever forget that very first moment Baby was introduced in the pilot episode, not to mention the special bond Dean will forever have with her?
4. When Dean gets to drive her again
After Sam goes into the pit, Dean tries to live a normal life with Lisa, which means he stops driving the Impala. Well, after he finds out Sam is alive, Dean uncovers Baby and gets to drive her again. It’s like a kid on Christmas morning, but definitely a much more touching moment.
5. The Knight Rider moment
During Season 5’s “Changing Channels,” the Trickster, aka Gabriel, returns and basically sticks Sam and Dean inside TV shows. Well, he literally traps Sam inside the Impala and creates one epic Knight Rider moment.
6. Dean puts Baby back together
At the end of Season 1, Sam, Dean and John get into a car accident, which leads to Dean having to put Baby back together in Season 2. The moment when she’s all fixed and Sam and Dean ride again accompanied by AC/DC’s “Back in Black” makes for one great Impala scene.

7. Dean helps young John Winchester pick out Baby
Anyone else love that scene in Season 4 where Dean goes back in time and helps young John Winchester pick out the Impala rather than that VW van he told Mary he’d buy? Dean, John and Baby bonded before any of them really knew it.
8. Whenever Dean lets Sam drive
It’s very rare, but when Dean lets Sam drive, well it’s a momentous occasion.
9. Dean sings “Eye of the Tiger”
This has to be one of Dean/Jensen Ackles’ greatest moments. What makes for a better duet than watching Ackles lip sync “Eye of the Tiger” with help from Baby?
10. When they put Baby on lockdown
The Leviathans sure were cruel, but when two took on the identities of Sam and Dean and forced the real Winchester brothers to put Baby on lockdown, well, that was beyond terrible. As Dean said, “Nobody puts Baby in a corner.”
11. When Dean is protective of her
She is his Baby, after all. There’s no doubt Dean loves Sam more than the Impala, but he will do whatever it takes to protect her.
