The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Alexis Bellino is definitely on Ayers’ side in the continuing drama surrounding his cancer diagnosis. So much so, in fact, that she told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that it’s time for people to move on and leave Vicki Gunvalson’s ex-boyfriend alone.
“I love Vicki dearly. She’s like a sister to me,” Bellino said during her Oct. 26 sit-down on the show. ”I wish everybody would butt out of their business and the fact that if he does have cancer, everybody should feel really bad about it, you know? And it’s nobody’s business. Let him take it up with the man above.”
Ayers was accused of faking his cancer throughout the last season of the show. After a lot of rumors, whether or not he actually had an illness became a focal point of the show. In recent weeks, however, Ayers has been speaking out and continuing to insist that his cancer diagnosis is legitimate.

“Unfortunately, I wish it wasn’t true,” Ayers told E! News last week. “It would be a lot easier if I didn’t have cancer, just to be honest with you. The daily grind, the routines of reminding yourself that I’m sick and I need to do certain things and not do certain things.”
He added that he allowed producers to play up his illness on the show because they threatened to give Gunvalson less screen time if he didn’t agree. And as for claims from the other Housewives that he was faking it? Ayers addressed those too, saying, “They fight below the belt. What am I supposed to do? Fight? Cuss with women? I don’t do that.”
Ayers and Gunvalson have since broken up, and it’s unclear whether he will continue to appear on RHOC or whether his cancer diagnosis will continue to cause drama on the show.
