Us Weekly reports that perpetual bachelor Derek Jeter is engaged! The 41-year-old former MLB star is reportedly planning to tie the knot with 25-year-old Hannah Davis, a Sports Illustrated cover model. The couple has been dating since 2012.
“Yes, they are engaged!” an insider reportedly told Us Weekly. “They like to keep everything private.”
According to the New York Post, Jeter proposed over the weekend on their anniversary. It’s a marked change for Jeter, who has been in plenty of relationships, but honest about avoiding settling down.
“I just know that I personally couldn’t have done it while I was playing,” Jeter said in a recent interview with Steiner Sports Marketing. “I was too selfish to be able to juggle a family and kids. But I look forward to it happening.”
And it happened pretty quickly following Jeter’s 2014 retirement from baseball. For those who are wondering about the lucky lady who managed to lock down the eternal bachelor, here are 11 things to know about Hannah Davis.
