Bravo never fails in producing a new reality show that will suck in viewers with the drama and crazy antics. Take its latest series, Après Ski, which focuses on eight people living and working in Whistler, British Columbia, and strives to turn Canadian hospitality mogul Joey Gibbons’ (or as Après Ski‘s Bobby Crowder calls him, “The Donald Trump of Whistler, but with way better hair”) startup tourism company catering to the rich and those looking for unforgettable experiences.

In between this group of strangers (as Bobby put it) “partying with rich people,” they are basically living the life like every cast member of MTV’s The Real World. Yes, Après Ski = The Real World, and here’s proof based on the opening narration of the MTV reality series. For those who don’t recall, it went as follows: “This is the true story of seven strangers picked to live in a house, work together and have their lives taped to find out what happens when people stop being polite and start getting real.”
1. There are eight strangers
All of the cast members met for the first time, save for Charlotte and Bobby, who are best friends, during the series premiere. You know what happens when strangers meet, work together and have their lives taped? Drama, drama, drama. Oh, and probably some hooking up at some point.
2. They live in a house
Now, not all of Après Ski’s cast members live together, but the five concierges do, and you know it will probably turn into an episode of The Real World sooner rather than later.
3. They work together
Like The Real World, in which the cast members worked a specific job, these Gibbons Life employees are working side by side in trying to make this business a success. Let’s just hope their differences don’t get too much in the way.

4. They’re having their lives taped
This one is pretty much a given, but it had to be said.
5. They’re already not being polite
Even in the first episode, there are a few people already butting heads. Take operations manager Elise, aka the boss, who isn’t getting respect from quite a few of her employees. Whether Jim is arguing about a possible dress code to Bobby making fun of Elise’s wardrobe, the concierges aren’t being polite to their boss.
6. Things are getting real
I mean, the series premiere ended with one of their clients hungover, getting ready to vomit, having anxiety and wanting to get off a gondola ride, stat. If that isn’t real enough for you, I don’t know what is.
Après Ski airs Mondays at 10/9c on Bravo.
