This is one power couple that made it through the breakup summer of 2015, with only a few bumps and bruises.
After lots of speculation about the health of their marriage, and a few rumors related to a certain nanny who made waves this summer, Giselle Bündchen is opening up about her husband Tom Brady’s scandalous past from before they were married.
A past so bad it almost ended their relationship before it even got off the ground.
OK… maybe not that bad, but still a lot for a budding, new relationship to bear.

Bündchen told CBS This Morning that she seriously thought about showing Brady the door when she found out he had knocked up his ex-girlfriend. She said, “It was a challenging thing because here I am, you know, thinking I’m dating this guy. We met, we started dating, everything is great and then this happens.”
But, even with a bump in the road as big as this, she revealed it all worked out in the end. “So, I felt like I didn’t know what to do. It was kind of one of those moments of like, do I just run away? And I think, you know, eight years later I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter bonus child.”

Aside from referring to Brady’s child with his ex as a “bonus child” (it is a bit strange, albeit still very sweet), it appears that this couple might really be in it for the long haul. On the heels of the rumors of marital troubles, Brady was dealing with the fallout from Deflategate. Facing possible suspicion from the NFL and trouble at home is admittedly a lot for the couple to go through, again. Bündchen addressed the scandals, saying, “I think we have been through a few tough times together. I think that’s when you know who are your friends and who loves you.”
She concluded, “I think no matter how challenging it was we’ve always been supportive of one another and I think that’s the most important thing you can have in life. You know, a support system and love.”
Amen, sister.
