RHOC‘s Shannon Beador & Tamra Judge respond to Brooks Ayers’ cancer update

Things are not looking promising for Brooks Ayers. Earlier today, his cancer diagnosis story took another hit when City of Hope came out and revealed they have never treated him for cancer.

We are now hearing the reactions from fellow The Real Housewives of Orange County stars as they speak out regarding the bombshell revelation. Speaking with E! News, Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge are the first of the cast to release statements.

Judge said, “I can’t say I am shocked. I’ve always said, ‘If he has cancer I hope he gets better and if he doesn’t…I still hope he gets better.'”

She calls him out as a con man, as fellow cast member Meghan Edmonds has already done, saying, “From day one I called him out. I felt he was a con man. I could see it in his eyes and nothing he said was making sense. He’s a charmer, but then you get to know him and after a while his stories don’t add up. In the end, I stopped questioning him as much, started accepting him for Vicki [Gunvalson]. I knew that if I let go, he would do it to himself.”

But she concedes, “it’s very hard to tell exactly what Vicki did or didn’t know.”

She tries grasping for a reason why Gunvalson would be involved in such a strange plot, saying, “My original thought was that he told her he had cancer so that she would stay with him, and at some point she figured out it wasn’t true. But then she made the decision to keep the lie going. That’s the part I don’t understand…why would someone do that?”

Beador seems to just scratch her head at the whole situation, saying, “I am still trying to connect the dots. It doesn’t make sense that Vicki would say she spent four hours with Brooks for chemo at the City of Hope when he was never treated there. The truth always comes out.”

Judge is also quick to point out how dangerous Ayers’ alleged lying actually could be and points out it is not something to be taken lightly. She explains, “If someone in the public followed his treatment and his cancer was faked, and that person died, then that would be heartbreaking and tragic.”

With City of Hope denying they treated Ayers as he claimed they did, it appears another major hole has been punched in his cancer diagnosis storyline. It will be interesting to see if, given these new revelations, either Gunvalson or Ayers will change their tunes.
