Halloween is over and done with, but country star Jason Aldean is still making headlines, thanks to his controversial choice of Halloween costume.

The Nashville Gab published a photograph last week, which it claimed was of Aldean. The photo shows Aldean posing for a photo with his wife, Brittany Kerr, and a group of friends, while wearing black face paint, a dreadlocks wig, black sunglasses and a chain around his neck. And we’re sure we don’t need to explain why this choice of outfit has caused so much anger and disappointment.
Following the backlash, Aldean’s rep revealed to The Guardian on Tuesday, Nov. 10, that he went as Lil Wayne for Halloween, saying, he was “dressed as rapper Lil Wayne for Halloween” — although the rep failed to elaborate on his decision.

Aldean has made his fair share of mistakes in his personal life, but this one has taken things a step too far, and it has resulted in people taking to Twitter to call out Aldean for wearing blackface.
These are just a few of the angry comments from Twitter users. Thus far, Aldean has yet to comment on the matter via social media, nor has he released a statement.
