The rumors might still fly, but Giada De Laurentiis is trying to set the record straight once and for all about all that Bobby Flay dating gossip.
And for good reason, too.
De Laurentiis has a new man in her life. Last week on The Wendy Williams Show, she revealed that she was seeing someone new, but kept tight-lipped about her new beau’s identity.
Now she is revealing the real reason she wouldn’t ever date Bobby Flay. On Watch What Happens Live, De Laurentiis told Andy Cohen she knows better than to date a fellow chef.

When Cohen asked her if she would ever get together in real life with Flay, she replied, “We do get together on Food Network Star. Well, we’re very good friends.”
She continued, “We’ve worked for many years together, but I don’t think that’s ever going to happen, because I’m smarter than that.”
What a loaded comment! I have so many questions. Giada, please, for the love of all things holy, what do you mean?
Is she just quipping about chefs being high maintenance? Did she mean it as a dig at Flay? A lot of dirt has been brought up in the wake of his nasty divorce on his treatment of the important women in his life. Is Flay really just in the friend zone and she thinks it’s weird to think of him romantically?
Whatever the impetus behind the comment, one thing is for certain, those dating rumors: dead in the water.
