Even though Teen Mom star Maci Bookout has stopped the cameras from rolling around her 7-year-old son, Bentley, that hasn’t stopped her from snapping and posting photos of her adorable kids and updating fans about her family on social media.
On Monday, Bookout shared a sweet update with fans that her oldest child was in the hospital for a tonsillectomy. She took an adorable selfie with him and, in the caption, included the hashtags #byebyestrep #gigglejuice.

Bookout recently celebrated Bentley’s birthday on Oct. 27. She made the decision to prevent MTV from filming him for the last season of Teen Mom after fellow castmate Farrah Abraham was allowed back on the show. Bookout also just welcomed a little sister for Bentley, Jayde, five months ago.
Fans were quick to give well wishes, commiserate as fellow parents and lament their own impending ordeals, as well. One fan said, “I wish him a very speedy recovery! Been thru [sic] that with my son several years ago myself. Hang in there mama!”

Another fan not only wished him well, but also advised that he take full advantage of the situation, saying, “Enjoy all the ice cream your little heart desires!”
One person took a moment to relay her own dilemma with this issue, saying, “Good luck Bentley. My daughter needs to get them removed but she’s really scared. Hopefully soon for her. Praying for a speedy recovery.”
