Adele’s new album is leaked online 72 hours before release

Most of us are still patiently waiting for Adele‘s comeback album to drop on Friday but it seems that a few fans have already managed to listen to the much-hyped 25.

The album has reportedly been leaked online, only a few days before its official release. On Tuesday night Twitter users began to share a link — which has since been deleted — from an online record store, which included two-minute clips of every song from the record.

Rumour has it (sorry) the album may have been leaked from U.S. retailer Target, after several Twitter users said they had seen physical copies in stores, suggesting they had been put out for sale by mistake. One tweeted a picture of themselves holding the album and threatening to leak it.

The same user later tweeted, “Adele outdid herself with 25” and “‘When We Were Young'” is the best song on 25″, suggesting they had listened to the album.

We’re a little sceptical, however, about some of the subsequent claims:

Target told Mashable that the picture is “not a Target album” and a rep for Adele told Billboard that the “Target sales are not true.”

We’ve waiting four years for a new album from Adele — we can wait another couple of days.
