Celine Dion’s tribute to Paris at the 2015 AMAs had everyone in tears

Celine Dion‘s stunning tribute touched our hearts and honored the Paris victims with the kind of grace only she could deliver.

With a stunning rendition of Edith Piaf’s “Hymne à L’amour”, Celine Dion proved to the world that she was the perfect person to perform the AMA’s Paris tribute.

Dion took to the stage after Jared Leto (whose band 30 Seconds to Mars had played the Bataclan only months prior) called the venue “peaceful” and “unforgettable”. The Bataclan was one of the largest scenes of terror at the center of last week’s attacks.

Dion’s tear-inducing tribute honored the victims of the Nov. 13 Paris terror attacks while images of Paris played on the screen behind her. The camera cut away to show many members of the audience weeping as the French-Canadian singer touched audiences with her emotional voice.

Viewers at home tweeted their approval of the tribute.

Over 120 people died in the Paris attacks, with many of the images playing on the screen behind Dion showing the memorials set up around the city in their honor.
