Stephanie March jokes about the consequences of divorcing Bobby Flay

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit alum Stephanie March is cracking jokes about her cooking skills after life with celebrity chef Bobby Flay.

In an interview with Extra on Monday, March said “I thought I would have to learn to cook… but as it turns out, I go out a lot, so looks like I don’t have to. My toast is amazing. My cereal is incredible.”

March and Flay split this past April after a decade of marriage due to rumors of cheating on both sides. Flay was rumored to have had dalliances with both January Jones and Giada De Laurentiis. After a lot of bitter he-said, she-said and disputes about their prenup, they finalized their divorce in July.

Despite the difficult split, March has a positive outlook. “I am by no means the only person to ever go through this and I’m very cognitive of that, and I have a wonderful support network of really good friends and really good family, so I don’t spend a lot of time feeling sorry for myself about it,” she said. “It’s not pleasant to see your private life out there, but, you know, I consider myself pretty lucky.”

It doesn’t sound like March is in the market for cooking lessons, but maybe she’ll give another chef a try. A lady cannot exist on toast, cereal and restaurants alone, and it sounds like she’s in the right frame of mind for love again. “Business is good, I have great friends, I love my new place; it’s really a good time in my life.”

Have faith, ladies; it’s possible to leave a bitter divorce behind and move forward to bigger and better things.
