Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen fans might not like the final answer to the burning question, “Will the Olsen twins appear in the Full House reboot?”, but at least now we have closure.
Lori Loughlin, otherwise known as Uncle Jesse’s love, Aunt Becky, has confirmed that neither of the Olsen twins will be appearing as the series’ beloved Michelle on Netflix‘s Fuller House when it debuts in 2016, according to The Huffington Post.
The season is wrapped, “and they didn’t come in,” Loughlin told HuffPo.

And to add further insult to injury, Loughlin also dashed hopes for Mary-Kate or Ashley turning up in any future seasons.
“No, I don’t think they’re going to make a cameo,” Loughlin said of the Olsens surprising fans with a future appearance on Fuller House. “They didn’t this season.”

It’s not a huge surprise that the Olsen twins aren’t signing on with Fuller House, considering how much they’ve tried to stay out of the Hollywood limelight since reaching adulthood. However, we’re still pretty sad we won’t be getting our Michelle fix — or finding out if her love of “ouscream” remains and if her favorite phrase is still “you got it dude” — anytime soon, especially since Full House creator Jeff Franklin says he won’t recast the role for the reboot.
Nevertheless, Loughlin says Fuller House will still be awesome and that the cast had a blast during filming.
“After you got over the initial surreal experience of like, ‘Wow, we’re here again,’ we sort of fell back into line exactly as we were,” Loughlin said. “And we had a lot of laughs and a lot of good times, and it was a lot like picking up right where we left off.”

Loughlin also revealed that Fuller House focuses mostly on the lives of D.J. (Candace Cameron), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), but all of our old favorite characters like Aunt Becky, Uncle Jesse, Danny Tanner and Uncle Joey will still drop in.
