Teresa Giudice has a Thanksgiving wish for her kids

You can say a lot of things about The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Teresa Giudice, but you can’t say she wouldn’t do anything for her kids.

Giudice, who is currently serving out the end of her nearly 12-month prison sentence for fraud, tax evasion and bankruptcy fraud charges, has decided to put her family first — even while she’s behind bars — by ensuring that her four daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana will have a safe and joyous Thanksgiving holiday.

To carry out the plan for her children, Giudice will spend Thanksgiving in jail without the expectation that any of her family will come visit her. She will enjoy a Thanksgiving feast made by prison cooks.

“Teresa wants Thanksgiving to be as normal as possible for the girls,” a source tells People magazine. “She just wants the girls to have a good day.”

Giudice will likely have a short phone call with her kids, but the girls will spend the holiday with dad Joe Giudice and other family members at home.

The holiday season won’t be all bad for Giudice, however, as she reportedly will be sprung from the coop before Christmas and will be able to return to her lavish home that was miraculously saved from foreclosure.

“Like a lot of people, the Giudices had fallen behind on their mortgage payments, which then puts the home into foreclosure as a way to protect the bank,” the Giudice family lawyer, James J. Leonard Jr., recently said while explaining the status of the family’s home. “Fortunately, they were able to pay back the money owed in full and the home is no longer under the threat of foreclosure.

“Losing the family home was never an option,” Leonard added. “Teresa made that very clear to me. There was no way we were going to let that happen. I am very happy it all worked out… This is the family home where they have raised their daughters. There is a lot of sentimental value there for Joe and Teresa, who are thrilled and relieved that they get to stay in the house.”

Giudice will also be able to celebrate the release of her upcoming bookTurning the Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again, which daughter Gia recently promoted for her mom on Twitter.

What do you think? Is Giudice’s Thanksgiving plan heartfelt, or just another PR stunt?
