While the two haven’t confirmed their marriage, one guest told Page Six that there were “bowls and bowls filled with cigarettes, and everyone smoked the whole night.”
The names of the guests were not revealed, but cocktails were served in the rear garden while the ceremony was held inside. Everyone was required to turn in their cellphones beforehand.
Olsen, 29, and Sarkozy, 46, the half-brother to former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, met in 2012 and became engaged in 2014. Mary-Kate told WSJ Magazine, regarding the media attention over the couple’s age gap, “Everyone has an opinion. I find it’s better to focus on what’s in front of you and to keep putting one foot in front of the other.”
This is the first marriage for Olsen and the second for Sarkozy. He has two children from a previous marriage.
