But was it really?
The breakup seems to have created some serious bad blood, not only between Jonas and Hadid, but between Jonas and Hadid’s new love interest, former One Directioner Zayn Malik.
According to Us Weekly, Jonas has wiped his social media clean of both Hadid and Malik, even going so far as to delete a months-old photo of himself and Malik.
The social media purge comes just after Hadid and Malik announced officially that they are dating. Jonas first unfollowed both his former flame and her new beau, and then deleted the photo, taken at a Valentino show in Paris back in June, showing Jonas and Malik posing with Kanye West. At the time, the photo was captioned, “#SQUAD.”

Hadid and Jonas only ended their relationship earlier this month, and earlier this week, the Victoria’s Secret model and Malik were seen leaving a West Hollywood club early in the morning, hand in hand. Sources later confirmed to Us Weekly that the two are dating.
“They seem equally super into each other, texting each other all the time,” the insider said. “They’ve only been hanging out a couple weeks.”
Right after Jonas and Hadid broke their relationship off, sources close to the couple said there were no hard feelings between the two.
“It was just due to busy schedules,” an insider revealed. “They are just going to be friends for now, but it wasn’t [due to] anything serious.”
