An eagle-eyed Keeping Up with The Kardashians fan noticed a big difference between footage from the show and Kim’s photos.
Last season on Keeping Up with The Kardashians, and before she was pregnant with her second child, Kim talked about embracing her body insecurities, especially her psoriasis. She said, “I have psoriasis; there is nothing I can do about it so there is no reason why I should feel uncomfortable.”

She decided to do a nude photo shoot in the desert wearing only white paint. She shared her photo shoot philosophy, “So to make myself feel better, I lay out all my insecurities before we start a shoot in the hope that no one will be focused on that. I just want to do fun and artsy things.” The viewers watched the photo shoot of Kim posing in the nude, feeling empowered.
Kim released the photos Tuesday, Dec. 1 on her website, app, Instagram and Twitter. They look beautiful. But when compared with footage from the show, as Twitter user Miss Odessa pointed out, the photos appear to be heavily Photoshopped.

When viewed side by side, it’s easy to see that Kim looks slimmer in her face, waist, stomach and thighs in the newly released black and white photos. Understandably, her social media fans are outraged that a shoot done to embrace her insecurities doesn’t accurately represent the way she really looks.

One Instagram commenter wrote, “I love you Kim but I hate the fact that you used Photoshop. How can young teens grow freely when they have this expectation of having a perfect, genuine body?”
Many women have embraced Kim as an icon because of her curvy figure. But these photos definitely undermine her mission to empower herself and her audience. She looks good, though, in both shots.
