2016 Golden Globes nominations are in — and there are a few surprises

The awards season is upon us, and we have all been eagerly awaiting the announcement for the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards nominations. We’re pleased to discover that there’s strong female representation this year.

The Golden Globes nominations are decided by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, who, according to The Telegraph, are a group of entertainment editors and writers from 55 countries. Without further ado, below are the list of nominees.
