Frankel is apparently demanding a hefty raise on The Real Housewives of New York or she’s threatening to leave the show.

According to Radar Online, Frankel was offered a production deal at another network that has her renegotiating her current salary with RHONY. If she doesn’t get the raise, she’ll leave to devote more of her focus to her new projects.
A source told the outlet, “Bethenny is ready to take over television and become the next Ellen DeGeneres.
“So before filming began for The Real Housewives of New York City, Bethenny demanded a huge pay increase,” the source continued. “She had initially asked for $2 million, which would have been double her salary from last season.”
Frankel’s demands are rumored to have her castmates furious. And they aren’t the only ones stunned by her bold demands.

“Bravo balked, but both sides agreed to pay her $1.5 million for essentially three months of work,” the insider reported.
Frankel rejoined the show in Season 7 after leaving the series in 2010. Though she wasn’t on RHONY, Frankel continued her career as a television personality on the Bravo spinoffs Bethenny Getting Married and Bethenny Ever After. She also had her own talk show, but its cancellation seemed to have fueled Frankel’s return to Real Housewives.
Frankel also very publicly dealt with her divorce from Jason Hoppy and their ensuing custody battle over their daughter Bryn. When she revealed that she was returning to RHONY, Frankel credited the timing more than anything.
“The idea of doing the show feels exciting and refreshing, like it did at the beginning all those years ago,” Frankel said in a statement when she first announced her return to the series. “New faces, new circumstances, and in many ways, a new me and a new life… Thank you for your honesty, for standing by me, laughing and crying with me, supporting me and motivating me. I can’t wait to see what the road ahead has in store for us.”

But despite the fact that Frankel is now the most recognizable face of the RHONY cast, Radar Online‘s insider still thinks her raise increase demands are unfounded.
“Bethenny was once again ready to take a hike, and Bravo rewards her! It’s absolutely ridiculous.”
