RHOC‘s Heather Dubrow says she was scammed out of $2M

‘s Heather Dubrow is looking for the woman who scammed her out of $2 million, and she is using a bounty hunter to help her bring the con artist to justice.

The Real Housewives of Orange County star took to her podcast to share her personal heartache about a con artist who scammed her family out of almost $2 million. And it wasn’t Brooks Ayers.

Dubrow told ET, “This was an accounting scam. Listen to Heather Dubrow’s World and I’m going to give you the details of what happened and why.”

Heather and her husband, Terry, believe a woman named Jennifer Lindsey Bell is responsible for the theft. The Dubrows believe Bell has left the U.S. and they are offering a $25,000 reward for any information leading to her arrest.

“Right now, it’s just about Jennifer Lindsey Bell,” Dubrow says. “Trying to get someone from another country and finding out where people are is a very interesting proposition.”

And that’s why the Dubrows have turned to bounty hunter Lil Zeke Unger. I guess Dog the Bounty Hunter was busy.

Dubrow says, “He’s helped thousands of people and captured many, many, many people, so we’re really hoping that he is going to help us. His information that he gave us today is absolutely invaluable.”

How exactly did Bell get an opportunity to steal $2 million? Dubrow explains, “We felt we were making a calculated, risk-free investment and it turned out not to be so. And really, it comes down to a matter of trust. Who do you trust? Who can you trust? And, you know, you think you have people you’ve known for years and years, and it turns out they’re not who you think they are.”

Dubrow wants to share the story not for sympathy, but to make people aware so they don’t get caught up in a similar scam.

“We’re putting this story out there, not just to tell everyone, ‘Hey, we lost almost $2 million,’” Dubrow says. “But, you know, we feel responsibility. We found out later that these people that scammed us have scammed other people for millions and millions of dollars, and if Terry and I don’t come out and go public with this, they will do it again.”
