Ruby Rose has split from her fiancée Phoebe Dahl, but she isn’t letting it get her down.
Rose and Dahl officially announced an end to their engagement on Dec. 14. Rose, an actor on Orange Is the New Black, reached out directly to Dahl with some kind — yet public — words on Twitter. She wrote, “@FAIRCLOTHSUPPLY remains very dear to my heart. I will forever treasure our time together. I’m a better person because of all we shared.”

Dahl responded with an equally supportive message, writing “@RubyRose you have brought me to my best and I will always love you. I can’t wait to see what the future brings for us.”
The split certainly seemed more than amicable, according to a statement from Dahl to Us Weekly: “After two wonderful years together, Ruby and I have decided to part ways. While we still love each other and support each other in every way, it is our mutual decision to part ways. Our break is not the result of any media speculation, and we want nothing but the best for each other. Thank you for respecting our privacy in this very difficult time.”

Dahl is a clothing designer in Los Angeles. She has recently moved out of the couple’s shared home.
The exes met in March 2014 and were engaged after just three months of dating. Dahl even told Hello! Fashion Monthly that her relationship with Rose was “love at first sight… it was all very instant. Honestly, we’re not apart very often.” If all is as it appears, the two will continue their friendship even as their relationship status changes.
