Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar may have a surprise for their family

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are allegedly looking to adopt baby No. 20.

When they named their show 19 Kids and Counting, they weren’t kidding!

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar reportedly want to add another child to their very large family.

A source tells Life & Style, “They’ve been mulling it over for a long time, and they feel the time is right to get legal advice and get the process underway. They’re looking to adopt a child in the New Year.”

After having 19 kids of their own and suffering a miscarriage in 2011, they’re not too specific about what they’re looking for. The source shares, “Michelle says she doesn’t care if they adopt a boy or a girl, or what ethnicity the child is. She says she just wants to help a child’s life.”

Well, that’s noble. But couldn’t that baby get lost in the pack of 19 others? Kind of like a kid in a crowd at a parade?

Michelle told In Touch in 2013 about her plans to expand her family. “I would be so grateful if the Lord blessed us with another one. Saying there are too many children is like saying there are too many flowers,” she said, quoting Mother Teresa.

I’m all for children finding good homes. But how good of a home can a child have with 19 siblings? There’s a limit on how much attention two parents can give to their children. Yes, some of their brood of 19 are out of the house and having their own kids. But then you’ve got the “Josh situation.” Please, Jim Bob and Michelle, relax and just enjoy being parents to your kids and grandparents to the babies. Pretty please.
